Privacy notice

This notice explains what information edigitool collects through this website and how we use it. edigitool.com is run by edigitool Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17523195), whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. Last updated: November 2026.

Enquiries

When you use our enquiry form we collect your name, email address, the type of partner you are, your website or social handle (if you give it) and your message. We use these details only to reply and discuss working together. Form submissions are processed by our form provider, Formspree, and delivered to our business inbox.

When you buy a product

We collect your email address, your name and country as entered at checkout, what you bought and when, and a record of your downloads (including a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address, which helps us spot shared links). We use this to deliver your purchase, send your receipt and download link, help you if something goes wrong, prevent fraud and keep the tax records the law requires.

If you ask for a refund, we keep the reason you choose and what you tell us, to deal with your request and to learn which products have problems. The creator of the product only sees how many refunds there were, never the reasons, your words or your details.

We send our emails (receipts, download links, and account and password emails) through Postmark, an email delivery service in the USA, which receives your email address only to deliver them and tells us whether they arrived. We keep a record of the emails we send you for as long as the order they're about.

Payments are handled by Stripe, who receive your card details directly: we never see or store them. Stripe uses your details to process the payment, prevent fraud and work out the right tax, as described in Stripe's privacy policy. The creators whose products we sell never see your email address or other personal details.

If you have an edigitool login

If you log in to edigitool.com (as a creator or as part of our team), we keep your name, email address and a scrambled form of your password, and a record of each time you log in: when, the kind of device (such as "Chrome on Windows") and a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address. We use these records to keep accounts secure and to spot logins that aren't yours. You can see your recent logins on your Account page. We keep login records for one year.

Our legal reasons

We use your purchase details to fulfil our contract with you, to meet legal duties such as keeping tax and accounting records, and for our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and misuse of download links. We use enquiry details for our legitimate interest in replying to you, and login records for our legitimate interest in keeping accounts secure.

How long we keep it

We keep order records for six years after the end of the financial year they belong to, because UK law requires company and tax records to be kept that long. Enquiries are kept for as long as we're discussing working together, and up to two years after.

Cookies

We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, only essential ones, which is why we don't ask you to accept any. We set one essential cookie when you log in, check out or use one of our forms (such as a refund request), to keep the page secure; it's deleted when you close your browser. When you confirm your purchase email on a download page, a second small cookie remembers that device for 30 days so you aren't asked again. Neither contains personal details. Our fonts come from edigitool.com itself, so showing our pages doesn't involve any other company.

Where it's stored

Our website and its database are hosted by GoDaddy. Emails are handled by Microsoft 365. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK, with the safeguards UK law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information, by emailing info@edigitool.co.uk. We may need to keep order records for the legal reasons above. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
